Monogrammed Stationary Style Guide

A monogram is a stationary design composed of the initials of a name and usually includes 3 initials. Typically a monogram is identified by a larger, center initial which always represents the last or “Family” name. If all the initials are the same size it is not considered a monogram, just initials. Personalized stationery monogrammed can be in classic script initials or in more contemporary typestyles. Choose a personalized stationery design that reflects your personality or for the person receiving a monogrammed stationery gift.

Monogram for an individual:
Left initial is for the First Name
Center initials if for the Family Name
Right initial if for Middle Name

Monogram for a couple:
Generally, the man’s name comes first:
Left initial is for the Man’s name
Center initial is for the Family Name
Right initial is for the Woman’s name.

Monogram for an Engaged Couple, prior to the wedding:
Left initial is for the Brides name
Center initial is for the Family Name
Right initial is for the Grooms name.
